According to the AASM, the Suburban Hospital Sleep Disorders Center met all AASM standards for more than 55 measures and has demonstrated its dedication to enhancing the awareness of sleep as an important element of health.
The Sleep Center is under the direction of medical director, Dr. Carolyn Wang and associate medical director, Dr. James Yan. “I am extremely pleased that our Sleep Disorders Center has met the accreditation standards of the AASM,” said Dr. Wang, “We have a dedicated team of clinicians, administrators and technicians striving not only to uphold this status, but also to far exceed the basic qualifications of the AASM accreditation standards. Our goal is to provide patient-centered and evidence-based care for our patients and this accreditation confirms the success of our mission.”
Established in 1982, the Suburban Hospital Sleep Disorders Center offers four state-of-the-art sleep rooms for monitoring and diagnosing multiple sleep disorders including, but not limited to periodic limb movements of sleep (PLMS), sleep apnea, narcolepsy and conditional insomnia. The Sleep Center provides clinical services such as initial screening/evaluation, overnight sleep studies, multiple sleep latency testing, Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) Titration.
