The Shaw Family Pediatric Emergency Center at Suburban Hospital provides children of all ages with quality care in a kid-friendly, family-centered environment. From emergency treatment to inpatient admissions, the Pediatric Emergency Center recognizes the unique medical needs of our youngest patients in an atmosphere specifically designed to reduce their anxiety about hospitals. A team of board-certified pediatricians and specially trained pediatric nurses staff the combined emergency/inpatient unit ensure around-the-clock pediatric expertise.
Our clinical staff has many years of experience in treating pediatric emergencies such as asthma attacks, allergic reactions, broken bones and head injuries, as well as routine complaints such as strep throat, flu and conjunctivitis (pink eye). In addition to these medical services, the Pediatric Emergency Center provides emergency evaluations for children and adolescents in crisis.
