Suburban Hospital Receives High Ranking from Washington Consumers' Checkbook

Bethesda, Md., (April 23, 2012) – Inpatient care at Suburban has been ranked in the top five among 30 Washington, D.C.-region acute care hospitals in a recent report by the Washington Consumers' Checkbook, a publication of the Washington, D.C.-based Center for the Study of Services.

The hospitals’ rankings were determined through surveys sent to more than 22,000 Washington-area physicians; ratings from patients; and national standards for patient outcomes, after adjustments for how sick and frail the patients were. Suburban is the only hospital in Maryland to be ranked this high.
